NetApp serie FAS6000

Gran
escalabilidad
La serie FAS6000 ofrece la escalabilidad de sistemas de conjunto
de matriz en una arquitectura de almacenamiento flexible y modular.
El FAS6030 puede configurarse con 840 unidades de disco con una
capacidad total de 420 TB. Por su parte, el FAS6070, que alcanza
hasta 504 TB distribuidos en 1.008 unidades de disco, puede gestionar
las mayores aplicaciones empresariales. Por su parte, el FAS6070,

Consolidación
eficaz
Los sistemas FAS6000 son ideales para la consolidación de
almacenamiento compatible con centenares de aplicaciones, ya que
no sólo disponen de gran escalabilidad sino también
de gran flexibilidad. El almacenamiento por niveles puede instalarse
en un sistema utilizando unidades de disco SATA y unidades de disco
de rendimiento FC. Los datos pueden almacenarse en formato de archivos
o bloques. Los protocolos compatibles incluyen FCP, NFS, CIFS, HTTP
e iSCSI para disponer de la máxima flexibilidad.

El
sistema operativo Data ONTAPTM 7G incluye dos tecnologías
estándar, FlexVolTM y FlexShareTM, que aumentan la eficacia
de la consolidación. FlexVol crea volúmenes que pueden
expandirse o contraerse fácilmente al tiempo que reduce la
necesidad de capacidad de reserva. FlexShare permite consolidar

La serie FAS6000 ofrece una gama completa de opciones de recuperación
tras siniestros y de alta disponibilidad. Sin embargo, NetApp abarca
mucho más que el paquete básico del centro de datos
en cuanto a disponibilidad. Por ejemplo, RAID de paridad doble proporciona
un alto nivel de protección de datos con un impacto insignificante
en el rendimiento. Del mismo modo, la instalación de copias
de SnapshotTM de NetApp no afecta al rendimiento y requiere poco
espacio de almacenamiento adicional, por lo que se pueden hacer
copias Snapshot con frecuencia. El resultado es una disponibilidad
incomparable a nivel de aplicación con recuperación
en minutos, no en horas, después de un fallo o de un error
humano.
SAN
robusto
NetApp admite una infraestructura SAN de Fibre Channel completa
con toda una gama de hosts, adaptadores, conmutadores y directores
certificados. Los sistemas FAS6000 pueden instalar una solución
SAN de FC de 4 Gb completa.
