SUBJECT - STRIKE ZONE

SUBJECT - PITCHING

These changes to the Pitching Rule mean that the pivot foot cannot slide or step forward toward the home plate. This action is illegal.

The stepping foot may be placed on the pitching plate or be placed on the ground behind and within the length of the pitching plate. Once the pitcher has taken the signal and brought their hands together for the pause, the stepping foot may only move forward toward the plate in the start of the pitching action.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO WARNINGS GIVEN TO THE PITCHER. IF ANY ILLEGAL PITCH IS MADE IT WILL BE CALLED IMMEDIATELY. ALL PITCHERS AND COACHES HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND A CLARIFICATION SESSION PRIOR TO THE START OF THE SEASON.
