To all clubs,

Subject:       BASES WITH PINS

 

It has been brought to my attention that a sporting store is claiming that bases that require pins are deemed illegal and are recommending and selling bases with Velcro to customers.

 

After consulting with Steve Suckling the umpire’s coordinator for DDMSA and the State umpire’s coordinator, this is incorrect and the bases that require pins are not ILLEGAL.

 

Please be mindful of this when you go to purchase bases for your club and I wish to clarify to all clubs that they are using bases with pins at DDMSA to continue to do so.

 

I wanted to bring this to your attention as to avoid any confusion or confrontation with clubs using the bases with pins.
